Cordus, Euricius, 1484-1535

Euricius Cordus was a German physician, naturalist, botanist, and poet. He studied medicine at the University of Marburg, where he later taught. He had a particular interest in botany, publishing a book entitled Botanologicon. He also produced poetry and epigrams. His son Valerius (1515-1544), whom he tutored, became a renowned botanist and physician.
